MWA's Mission
To organize Muslim women in America, to support a system of government in America for the common good of all.
MWA's Vision
Unite the collective voice of Muslim women in America, so that voice may be represented in civic engagement
What is MWA?
The Muslim Women of America is a broad based coalition of organizations, businesses and individuals who proclaim Islam as our faith and America as our land. The Muslim Women of America convene to support a system of government for the common good of all Americans.
The concept of Muslim Women of America was born out of the realization that we, Muslim women are an integral piece of the American fiber. With that reality we are also absent as a united base at the policy making table cross the country locally and nationally.
What we find to be true is that the significant challenges facing our families and communities today are the same for all Americans.
Historically, positive change has come about when people come together for a common cause. Thus, the Muslim Women of America is presented. Muslim Women of America does not exist to replace or rival any other existing organization, but to work in collaboration with other national organizations to bring to the forefront the vast contributions and engagement of Muslim women both locally and nationally.
Muslim Women of America intends to function as a networking, coalition-building, and advocacy vehicle. Recognizing that the use of our collective influence on issues affecting women, their families and communities will have a tremendous impact.

Throughout my career in public service, I have believed in making policitics more inclusive. Historically, Muslims - especially Muslim women - have not been recognized as major leaders in their communities. I cam proud to see Muslim women gather together to speak with a united voice.

United States Representative André Carson
I would like to congratulate Muslim Women of America hor holding their first National Legislative Day. I am pleased that so many women from all over the country will be meeting on Captitol Hill to share and exchange ideas and participate in our naion's democratic proces.s.
